Thoughts

This takes aspects of the conventional fairy tale (a quest, seven league boots, monsters) and puts in other unusual things: the quest isn't for a sword or a jewel or a person, but for a cure; and the person undertaking the quest is timid and fearful, and has to overcome their fears.

On the downside, I found the worldbuilding a bit tame (apart from the interesting psychology of dragons), and the "epic poems" not very poetic. But I still liked the theme of overcoming fears.
