Description: | Working In Groups (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3429000/1/Working_In_Groups): Deja Q, the anti-deus-ex-machina remix. The Continuum does not intervene to save Q from the Calamarain, or stop the Enterprise from doing so. Q has to work together with the Enterprise crew to deal with the Calamarain, or end up dead. Gen, ensemble TNG cast. I would like to finish this in full, but I'm expecting 30,000 words or less more on the fic, so that is all I will commit to. |

Description: | Burning Time (http://www.livejournal.com/users/alara_works/5461.html): Sequel to Guidance (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1656551/1/Guidance). Burning Time, the sequel to Guidance, is primarily action/adventure with some slash element toward the end, including probably an R-rated sex scene that actually happens to be totally necessary to the action/adventure plot. :-) A spinoff of <"a href="http://www.alara.net/trek/oh.html">Only Human in which Picard is alive. Psychotic El-Aurian scientist Tolian Soran kidnaps Q to access the Nexus 2 years early, and also to kill Q for a crime he didn't commit. Guinan must risk the life of the person she most loves to save the person she most hates from an injustice caused by her actions. Feats of derring-do, death-defying acts, and occasionally Death bitch-slaps those that defy him. Also, sex, sort of. Also, Kirk!

Description: | Mad World (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5380879/1/Mad_World): Dixon Hill's having a day. The cross-town bus has square wheels, Worf the landlady's gonna cut him with a bat'leth if he doesn't pay the rent, Durango the gunfighter's looking for him, and he trips on a crazy homeless guy in the street who claims to be God. Then a slinky red-headed dame slinks into Dix's office and hires him to find her brother, or maybe her boyfriend, she seems sort of unclear on the difference. Who is, in fact, the crazy homeless guy. Who is, in fact, God... or, well, Q, who is a reasonable fascimile thereof. Meanwhile, Mr. Data hires the Dancing Doctor to attend the pregnancy of mob boss Spot the Cat... oh, and reality is falling apart because realities created by mad gods are not really known for their stability. Trouble is, will finding Q and turning him over to Dix's client fix the disintegrating reality and free Dix and his friends from this mad world, or will it just wipe them all out?

Description: | All You Zombies: The next story in the "West" (http://archiveofourown.org/series/960) series, about Kathryn Janeway's "life" in the Q Continuum after her death, is the one in which Lady Q drags Janeway along on a "family outing" (involving Q, Q Jr, Amanda, and possibly others) to fight zombies as part of a game. When Janeway demands that the Q should stop using the suffering of others as a backdrop for their entertainment, Q ups the odds by dragging the Doctor and possibly other Voyager crew members into the game... which allows them to learn that Janeway is alive, something Lady Q had been trying to prevent. Commit to start and finish.

Description: | Vulcan Sands: Jane Kirk's Enterprise (http://archiveofourown.org/works/18870) is a series that genderswaps Kirk and Spock. The story in the URL introduces Jane Kirk; the next story planned, the one I am pledging, would be "Vulcan Sands", introducing the genderswapped Spock and getting her back from Vulcan into space. Not a fun, light-hearted story.

Description: | Q's Story (this is a working title): this is a retelling of the events of the pro ST novel "I, Q" by Peter David and John de Lancie, from the perspective of Q's mate, who, being a Q, is also called Q. In the novel, she vanishes in the first scene of the action, Q spends much of the book trying to find her, and when he finds her, she is in the middle of succumbing to despair, and she dies. This irritates me because she is essentially shoved into a refrigerator to give Q angst; we never even find out why she was suffering such despair. This is her version of that story, and the aftermath after everyone who died was restored to life. There's no sex in this story, but Q, a female-manifested genderless energy being, has had quasi-sexual relationships with both the JdL Q and the character M from the novel, who is also a female-manifested genderless energy being. Since this describes someone's descent into suicidal despair, and their reaction to surviving their own death, this is not a happy story. |
