"Phil series" (Sentinel)

The "Phil" series (_Unspoken Rule #3_, _Some People Never Learn_) was a good idea in principle - to look at Jim and Blair from the outside - but I found them unengaging because it was told from the Point of View of a very unsympathetic character, the "Phil" of the title.
