This story was a mixture of good plot and Daniel angst. Well, I liked the way the tachyons were used, how the whole thing was put together. And then you've got the angst - or should I say the hurt and the comfort. How to have your cake and eat it too, really. I was fine with this until the epilogue, which went into overkill for me. The twist was a bit much, and actually lessened the episode to which it refers, in my opinion. So I actually like this story best if one leaves off the epilogue, and leaves the fate a mystery.

Another sad, compassionate Daniel story. This was well-written, got the characters right (though of course the focus here was on Daniel) and built things up gradually, showing and not telling. One is tantalized, one is intrigued, one is moved. Very good.

This was a lovely, poignant story. The author warns us that this story is "one for the Danny Channel (All Danny, All the Time)", but that said, one doesn't miss the presence of the others, because this isn't about Daniel's relationships with the others, it's about his compassion (and his curiosity). And about the guest-character for this episode. This was really good.
