This is the first in an AU trilogy, where "What if... the NID had
gotten Sam before the Askrak did?" In other words, it diverges during
"In The Line of Duty", though a good portion of this takes place during
the events of "Secrets", which also happen somewhat differently.
I like that this takes consequences and continuing events into account,
and the way that Jolinar and Sam have... accommodated each other. This
is definitely not a Happy Happy Joy Joy story -- lots of angst for poor
Sam, she's been through the wringer. It does end hopefully -- with a
hint of unease.
I actually found this first at Heliopolis (http://www.sg1-heliopolis.com).

This is the next one in the trilogy, and gives an alternative
version of "Bane"; when Teal'c gets taken by Maybourne, Carter can't
stand by and do nothing -- and this has very unfortunate consequences.
Again, this AU weaves into the events that would "normally" have
happened and takes its own spin on them; I like that.

The third and final story in the trilogy, where the secrets that
Sam and Jolinar have been keeping are blown wide open; and various
parties make their moves -- some very unexpected indeed. References to
"Fifth Race", "Tok'ra", and "Jolinar's Memories", though of course not
everything is the same. Action happens, and loose ends get tied up.
And even if it isn't happily ever after for everyone, it's still a
hopeful ending. Overall, a good solid AU series.
