This is good. This is very good. It has: (a) inventive creative masterful world-building, (b) a mystery with twists and turns (and clues), (c) emotional depths and heights, from horror and torment to true love, (d) good characterisation of Hermione and Snape, (e) good characterisation of Mrs. Figg, (f) a creepy original character, the Wizarding equivalent of a Mad Scientist, (g) friendship and love and self-sacrifice, (h) foolishness and desperation and the things we do for love.
