I've heard of fusing bubble wrap before, but I haven't come across a step-by-step tutorial before. One variation I heard of was to melt wax crayons in between the layers of bubble wrap. Which would be interesting.

Use an extruder to make polymer clay "thread" that you wrap around a regular metal sewing bobbin. Make into a necklace and there you are.

I like the idea of making beads out of metal bobbins. One could do something similar with actual (embroidery) thread and glue.
